Homemade hemp milk
Hemp milk is gaining in popularity as an alternative to vegetable milk. It is derived from the whole hemp seed and is rich in high-quality vegetable proteins, healthy fats and minerals, much more so than most other types of vegetable milk. Hemp milk has a nutty flavour and a creamy consistency. It is a good option for people who need to avoid soya, lactose or gluten. What’s more, hemp also contains plenty of insoluble fibres, which can absorb a considerable quantity of water. This increases the volume of the food in your stomach and intestines, so that you retain that full feeling for longer.
